An epic adventure about a global cataclysm that brings an end to the world and tells of the heroic struggle of the survivors.

Disaster movie maven Roland Emmerich (Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow) crafts this apocalyptic sci-fi thriller following the prophecy stated by the ancient Mayan calendar, which says that the world will come to an end on December 21, 2012. When a global cataclysm thrusts the world into chaos, divorced writer and father Jackson Curtis (John Cusack) joins the race to ensure that humankind is not completely wiped out. Chiwetel Ejiofor, Danny Glover, Amanda Peet, Thandie Newton, and Oliver Platt round out the cast of this end-of-the-world thriller co-scripted by the director and his 10,000 B.C. writer/composer, Harald Kloser.

“it sure was but i only rate it 4 outta 5 it not that great both worth seeing once or twice maybe more”
“Great Sci-Fi film by Roland Emmirich, massive, spectacular effects, compose the plot for the end of days. Unfortunately it leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to the acting. On the other hand, one should take this film as it is, and not search for compelling performances, although I must say, the acting was better in my opinion from a lot of similar disaster films….Overall, a very entertaining film for what it offers and definitely worths the time to watch it. 4/5 Thanks ”
“This was absolutely fantastic!! I loved the special FX’s and the storyline. I wasn’t too thrilled with Oliver Platts character, but there has to be one in every movie. I think this will be one of the classics like Posidon Adventure, Ghostbusters and Day After Tomorrow. Enjoy! 10/10″
